The popular intersection of West Paces Ferry Road and Northside Parkway has everything a homeowner on the west side of Buckhead wants and needs. The name Paces Ferry derives from Hardy Pace, a settler who established a flat-boat ferry service in the early 1800s near where Peachtree Creek empties into the Chattahoochee. Near the early 20th century, West Paces Ferry was divided into large parcels of land, which wealthy owners used to build large, stately homes. Starting in the 1950s, these parcels of land were divided into smaller portions that property developers used to construct smaller ranch homes during the time of suburban expansion.

What We Love

What We Don’t

Being in the middle of everything is great, but it means that traffic can be a real nuisance. Drivers pass through the neighborhood’s main roads, West Paces Ferry Road and Northside Parkway, to get anywhere and everywhere.

Real Estate

Home prices start around $800,000. Several 100-acre European estates that dominated the landscape in the early 1900s have been carved up into a pleasant mix representing distinct time periods.
