Buckhead’s Top 5 Home Sales In 2020

Like many industries, real estate sales in Buckhead ground to a halt in early 2020. Then, surprisingly, during the 2nd half of the year sales surged ahead as people invested in the place they were spending all of their time…home. 2020 was a crazy year in my industry and 2021 is shaping up to be almost as interesting.

Today we take a look back at the top 5 sales of 2020 in Buckhead. Congratulations to the buyers, sellers and real estate brokers who participated in what turned out to be a record year for the luxury real estate market in Buckhead!

#1 – $15 million | 4110 Paces Ferry Road

While it may always be known as “Tyler Perry’s Home”, this gigantic Buckhead mansion on the banks of the Chattahoochee in the Paces Neighborhood now belongs to Steve Harvey who paid a cool $15 million for the honor.

#2 – $8 Million | 324 Pineland Road

It was a big leap from #1 to #2, but 324 Pineland on the border between Chastain Park and Tuxedo Park managed to pull in $8 million without ever having been publicly listed for sale.

#3 – $7.5 Million | 40 Cates Ridge

This private estate on 8.4 acres in the Sandy Springs ITP neighborhood features a large lake, tennis court and guest cottage; all connected by a network of cart paths. The property is a short stroll to the entrance of the Chattahoochee National Park.

#4 – $7.38 Million | 391 Argonne Drive

Most homes that make our top 10 feature large lots, but this beautiful home managed to pack in over $7 million on just .71 acres in the Arden/Habersham Neighborhood.

#5 – $7.3 Million | 1145 West Paces Ferry

It may be #5 on this list, but the sweeping front lawn at “White Oaks” deserves it’s own prize. Originally built in 1926, this home in the West Paces Neighborhood more recently underwent years of renovations and enlargements.
