South Tuxedo Park

At A Glance

South Tuxedo Park is a small neighborhood that combines just about everything you might move to Buckhead for. Valley Road alone has some of the most beautiful homes in Buckhead, with similarly wonderful homes on nearby streets.

The Cherokee Town & Country Club and the entire South Tuxedo Park neighborhood was once the 100 acre estate of the Grant family. John W. Grant and his wife Annie Inman Grant operated a farm on the property and built their home (which is now part of the Cherokee Club House) there in 1917.

Today the Cherokee Club sits in the center of the neighborhood and offers its members swimming, tennis, and more. The Atlanta History Center includes 35 acres of gardens and walking trails in addition to the fascinating displays and artifacts inside.

The southeastern tip of South Tuxedo Park includes many of Buckhead’s favorite shopping options. The adjacent Buckhead Village is home to the finest collection of high-end dining and retail in Georgia. Neighbors love Lucy’s Market, the Buckhead Butcher, and Whole Foods to name a few.

Speaking of dining… Your neighborhood options include the Michelin Star Atlas at the St Regis Hotel, neighborhood favorites like Souper Jenny (inside the Atlanta History Center) and Yeppa & Co, and quick-but-delicious options like Shake Shack.

Residential options in South Tuxedo Park are mostly larger homes. You will find stately traditional homes, stark modern architecture, and everything in between. Many older homes are being replaced with contemporary new construction. There are a few condominiums available along Roswell Rd, and the adjacent Buckhead Village District includes several high-rise options.

What We Love

Quiet streets with beautiful homes around the corner from the best shopping, dining, and recreation Buckhead has to offer.

What We Don’t

While traffic on neighborhood through-streets is light to moderate, getting out onto W. Paces or Roswell Rd. can get you into traffic delays.

Real Estate

Condo prices start in the high $600,000s, although there are not very many available units in the neighborhood. Home prices start around $1.2 million, and can go close to $10 million.

Location

South Tuxedo Park is bordered by Habersham Road, Roswell Road, and West Paces Ferry Road. The neighborhood is surrounded by Tuxedo Park, Buckhead Village, and Buckhead Forest.
