What We Love
A suburban neighborhood adjacent to the hustle and bustle of the center of Buckhead activity.
What We Don’t
Main surface streets Howell Mill Road, Moores Mill Road and Northside Parkway experience congestion from traffic jams on I-75.
Condo prices start at $300,000. Home prices start in the $600,000s for a fixer. Styles are typically brick ranches and traditional two-stories constructed of brick, of course. Many older homes are being replaced with European-style new construction.
Brandon is east of Howell Mill Road, but borders the Margaret Mitchell neighborhood to the west, and West Paces Ferry/Northside to the North. I-75, West Wesley, Northside Parkway and Moores Mill Road run through Brandon.
Around The Block
In addition to the landmarks mentioned above, everything else is close by, without having to deal with the hustle and bustle of Peachtree Road. The extremely popular OK Cafe re-opened after a fire to the delight of the surrounding neighborhoods. Goldberg’s Deli is always busy for breakfast and lunch seven days a week. Quickly get what you need at the smaller Publix on the corner of Northside Parkway and West Paces Ferry Road. For more upscale dining, Houston’s and Blue Ridge Grill are old school standbys for the neighborhood regulars. Balance out the dining options with conveniences like the Northside Public Library and Palisades medical offices on Downwood Circle. The Ace Hardware has everything you need and more year-round.
Peaceful streets and stately homes characterize the residential areas of the Brandon neighborhood.
The Buckhead YMCA is an extremely popular destination for athletic families who enjoy swim, tennis and general health and fitness activities through every season.
Arthur Blank’s namesake family foundation is headquartered in the Brandon neighborhood. Built and designed to withstand the test of time, it will serve his family’s commitment to the Buckhead community for generations to come.
