Atlanta BeltLine

At A Glance

The Atlanta BeltLine is the city’s most comprehensive transportation and economic development effort ever undertaken. It is among the largest urban redevelopment program currently underway in the country. The project will ultimately connect 45 intown neighborhoods via 33-miles of multi-use trails and parks, all developed along the railroad corridors that previously encircled the city. In a dense and car-centric city such as Atlanta, greenspace is a hot commodity, and residents benefit from an alternative transit option for walking, biking, and running.  Future plans include connections to other local paths, like PATH400 in Buckhead, and 22 miles of pedestrian friendly rail transit.
