On August 25, Collier Hills hosted their third annual 5K Fun Run/Walk in and around Tanyard Creek Park. Runners of all ages participated in the race, some running at full steam while others jogged or walked with strollers around the track. Collier Hill’s unofficial mayor, Buddy Weston, emceed the event.
Collier Hills is one of our favorite local neighborhoods, and the vibe was decidedly energetic and friendly as neighbors and avid runners from around Buckhead gathered in the early hours of the morning. Bystanders cheered the participants as they ran past, and at the end they partook in light snacks and the kids enjoyed a bounce house near the finish line.
Thanks to the Collier Hills Civic Association and the numerous volunteers and organizers for their hard work in hosting this event and for inviting us along to capture the festivities!
