Inside the Weezie x Lee Jofa Launch: A Q&A With Co-Founder Liz Eichholz

Weezie, a Buckhead business founded in 2018 by friends and co-founders Lindsey Johnson and Liz Eichholz, has announced a collaboration with the 200-year-old textile brand Lee Jofa. The upcoming collection launched on July 14 and includes meticulously designed bath and hand towels, robes, shower curtains, and accessories, bringing a luxury “wardrobe” to the bathroom. The new collection is available online and in Weezie’s flagship store at 56 East Andrews Drive. Below, Eichholz gives a behind-the-scenes look at the inspiration for the process, the patterns, and the prints behind the collaboration.

Tell us how this collaboration came to be.

I’ve long admired Lee Jofa’s storied archive. It has been a design reference for me, both personally and professionally, for years. Their depth of craft and rich history are things I’ve turned to time and time again, even in my own home. At Weezie, we’re always looking for ways to bring beautiful design into everyday rituals, so the opportunity to reimagine these heritage prints for everyday living felt like a natural fit and has been such a joy.

How long has this collaboration been in the works?

The collaboration has been close to two years in the making! One of the things I love most about our process at Weezie is that we develop products in-house, which allows us to thoughtfully test colorways, scale, and construction to ensure these heritage patterns translate beautifully into terry. We obsessed over every detail, from pattern placement and scale construction to create a collection that feels classic and easy to live with.

Was there a specific moment that sparked the idea?

The timing couldn’t have been more serendipitous. I was renovating my home, and we had just begun designing the primary bathroom — a space that, as the co-founder of a luxury bath and home brand, I knew had to feel especially beautiful — when our conversations with Lee Jofa began. We had already selected a few Lee Jofa favorites for the space, so naturally they became a jumping-off point for the collection. In fact, the Elba wallpaper in my water closet inspired Marciana, the custom pattern Lee Jofa developed for the partnership, making the entire process feel incredibly personal and full circle.

How did you decide which fabrics and textiles to use? Were there certain patterns you felt would translate especially well into personal spaces in the home?

We wanted the collection to feel like a curated wardrobe for the bathroom, with a mix of scale, texture, and pattern that worked together without feeling too matched. Marciana became an anchor for the assortment, bringing tailored, timeless sensibility to the collection. From there, we balanced the assortment with more botanical patterns like Palmero and Davenport, creating a collection that feels layered and collected. Over the years, we’ve seen so many beautiful bathrooms featuring both Lee Jofa fabrics and wallpapers alongside Weezie, so it was especially fun to see that overlap and draw inspiration from the way customers have already been bringing the two brands together in their homes.
