As Atlanta’s 4th most populous neighborhood, about 9,000 residents call North Buckhead home. North Buckhead has focused on creating more walkable streets, mixed used development, and redevelopment of older areas, while protecting its lush, forested core. The completion of the I-85 to I-285 extension of Georgia 400 in the 1990s spurred a new wave of development. From “Walk to School” days to the Annual Holiday Christmas Tree sale, the Civic Association keeps neighbors socially active with creative ways to enjoy their beautiful neighborhood. North Buckhead’s seasonal Block Parties, or “flings,” are widely popular with the whole family with up to 600 neighbors and friends in attendance! Phipps Plaza boasts some of the most elite shopping destinations in Georgia. High fashion at it’s finest resides within these walls, as you can find any designer or brand to compliment your desires.

The Blue Heron Nature Preserve is enjoyed by all neighbors, with exploration camps, wildlife sightings (mostly deer, owls, foxes, turtles, and turkeys), and volunteer cleanups. As is little Nancy Creek Park, a beloved community outdoor exploration with trails, playground, portico, community-tended garden, and beautiful greenspace.
