Our friends at Livable Buckhead have created a handy online resource for keeping track of current and upcoming road construction projects in Buckhead. The page has information about Buckhead Community Improvement District (BCID), Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), and Atlanta Gas Light projects.
Active Projects
There are two projects on the list that you definitely want to be aware of when you’re planning your commute. The new intersection of I-285 and GA400 involves lane closures and rerouting traffic patterns. The project should improve traffic in the area when the new flyover ramps and on/off ramps are completed, but for now you may want to plan for delays.
The GDOT is also in the process of constructing a roundabout at the intersection of Monroe and Armour Drive. Lane closures and traffic shifts are currently affecting traffic on the SR13 connector, and as far north as the SR13-GA400 ramp from I-85 southbound.
