Christ The King School

At A Glance

Founded in 1937 by the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart, Christ the King School (CKS) serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade, providing an exceptional academic foundation within a caring, faith-filled community. Rooted in the Catholic principles of respect, responsibility, and recognition of each child’s God-given potential, CKS nurtures students as they grow in faith, ability, and character.

For nearly nine decades, Christ the King has combined a strong Catholic tradition with an innovative approach to education. This commitment to excellence has earned the school both local and national recognition, including being named a 2024 Cognia School of Distinction and a three-time National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence (2018, 2007, and 1986). These honors reflect the school’s dedication to high academic standards, spiritual formation, and the development of the whole child.

At the heart of Christ the King School is its mission:

To create a Christ-centered community of caring based on the Catholic tradition of fostering academic excellence, individual responsibility, spirituality, and growth of the whole child in order to live the Gospel in word and deed.

This mission comes to life each day through the relationships among students, teachers, and families. The school’s instructional program blends time-honored best practices with continuous innovation, ensuring that students build a solid progression of skills and competencies while being challenged to think critically, act compassionately, and lead with faith.
