We told you about the new 365 by Whole Foods store that is coming to Buckhead’s Paces Ferry Plaza back in August, and now the renderings are here!

In place of the former Glyn Weakley Interiors, Bean Head Toys, Caribou Coffee and the vacant Taco Bell, Regency Centers will construct the 29,740 square foot 365 by Whole Foods store and a 2-story parking deck below to accommodate about 150 parking spaces with stair/elevator access.

With a major cosmetic facelift, Paces Ferry Plaza is looking to attract higher-end retailers to the affluent area. Woo Skincare + Cosmetics was the first new retailer and Baby Braithwaite has just relocated here from their former home next to the St. Regis on West Paces Ferry.

This new site plan addresses residents greatest concern: parking. A new 150-space parking deck with high ceilings and direct access to Northside Parkway will be built underneath the new grocery store. It appears that a separate lower level of the deck will be used exclusively by the Blue Ridge Grill valet.

Demolition permits that were filed with the City of Atlanta have work slated to begin “in the coming months” with talks of the grand opening happening in late 2018. “365” Whole Food Stores will allow customers to shop for healthy and high-quality food without the high prices, according to Jeff Turnas, president of 365 by Whole Foods Market Inc. Most of the product carried will be the Whole Foods Store Brand “365”. This will be the second Georgia location announced for Whole Foods 365; the other is located in Decatur. There are currently only three “365” stores open across the country.

According to the site plan and renderings (from whatnowAtlanta), Smith Ace Hardware will move to the far left of the center and grow from 5,000 to about 8,800 square feet. Pero’s Pizza, West Stride, Carriage Cleaners and Day Spa & Nail will remain part of the Plaza.
