Chastain Park

Chastain Park

At A Glance

You might think that life for folks who live near the 268-acre Chastain Park is all about jogging, tennis, Little League and driving around in golf carts. You’d be right! Neighbors enjoy a vibrant community, spearheaded by a civic association dedicated to preserving their lifestyle.

Chastain Park is Buckhead’s premier park, as well as Atlanta’s 3rd largest city park. The wide variety of competitive and recreational activities include a swimming pool, tennis courts, gymnasium, walking trails, playgrounds, softball diamonds, a golf course and even a horse park – any of which appeal to athletic types and Sunday morning strollers alike. The park also includes cultural amenities like the amphitheater where both pop and classical musicians entertain audiences outdoors, and the Chastain Park arts center.

A well-organized homeowners’ group, the civic association, facilitates a security patrol and community events like the 4th of July Parade. The Chastain Conservancy was started in 2003 to protect and cultivate the park’s resources and has an active volunteer group.

For more information about the park, rentals, special events, and concerts at Chastain Park please visit their official website, email info@chastainpark.org, or call the amphitheatre directly at (404) 733-5012. For information about the Horse Park, call (404) 252-4244.
